Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Trendtaco LLC ("Trendtaco", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit or buy from www.trendtaco.com (the "Site"), including the Cody Tries Stuff collection and our other creator and community collections. 1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Order information: name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number (if provided) and the items you buy. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Communications: anything you send us through our contact form or email, such as order issues and photos.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address, if you choose to subscribe.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, referring site, pages viewed, items added to your cart and how you interact with the Site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see section 4.

2. How we use your information

  • To process, produce, ship and support your orders, including returns, replacements and refunds.
  • To talk with you about your order and answer your questions.
  • To send marketing emails, only if you have opted in (see section 5).
  • To run, secure and improve the Site, prevent fraud and spam (for example, with reCAPTCHA on forms), and understand what's popular.
  • To measure and improve our advertising, including on Facebook and Instagram (see section 4).
  • To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. How we share your information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the store, and only as needed:

  • Shopify: our e-commerce platform, which hosts the Site, processes checkout and stores order data. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.
  • Printful: our print-on-demand production and fulfillment partner, which receives the order details and shipping address needed to make and ship your items. See Printful's Privacy Policy.
  • Payment processors: Shopify Payments and wallet providers such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus local payment methods offered at checkout in some countries. They process your payment under their own privacy policies.
  • Shipping carriers: to deliver your order and provide tracking.
  • Advertising and analytics partners: such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram), as described in section 4.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect our rights, customers or others.
  • Business transfers: if Trendtaco is sold or merged, customer information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some US state laws treat sharing data with advertising partners for targeted ads as a "sale" or "sharing"; see section 7 for how to opt out.

4. Cookies, pixels and analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • keep your cart and checkout working (strictly necessary);
  • remember your preferences;
  • measure site traffic and sales through Shopify Analytics;
  • let Printful measure the performance of its fulfillment and storefront integration; and
  • measure and personalize ads through the Meta Pixel (Facebook & Instagram), which can record page views, add-to-cart and purchase events.

Where the law requires it (for example, in the EU/EEA and UK), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings. Learn more about Shopify's cookies at shopify.com/legal/cookies. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

5. Email marketing

We send marketing emails only to people who have actively opted in, for example by checking the box at checkout or signing up through our newsletter form. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us. Order and shipping emails (transactional messages) will still be sent, because they are needed to complete your purchase. We do not send marketing text messages unless you have separately opted in to SMS.

6. Data retention and security

We keep order information as long as needed for our records, including tax, accounting and warranty or claim purposes, and other data only as long as it's useful for the purposes above, unless you ask us to delete it. We use reputable providers with industry-standard security measures. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (including New Jersey, California and other US states, the EU/EEA and the UK), you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you, and get a copy;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information;
  • opt out of targeted advertising and the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information;
  • withdraw consent you've given (for example, to marketing emails or cookies); and
  • appeal our decision on your request, or complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email mrtrendtaco@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. Where required by law, we honor browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control.

For customers in the EU/EEA and UK: we process your information to perform our contract with you (fulfilling orders), on the basis of our legitimate interests (running and securing the store), with your consent (marketing and non-essential cookies), and to meet legal obligations. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate, using appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

8. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Some of our products are made for kids, but they must be bought by an adult. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Third-party links

The Site may link to social media and other sites, such as our creators' social media pages. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when it last changed, and material changes will be posted on this page.
